Class Test

During 1230 – 100pm roll call, Mrs K told us this:

Class test is a formative test. It is only one fraction of the total exam. Parent should not compare between classes. It should not be a standardize test because every class has a different pace. This is only 10% and we really want to encourage them to learn. We want the regularity, we really want to encourage them to learn.

LeeCC : “But our MT department has already send the test paper for printing?”
Your department has to change your mindset. The person in charge did not get the message, it has been sent out since Day 1. It should not be a standardized test, that's why P is very angry about this. You have to ask if they have printed the paper.

Every teacher set own class test paper. You can have as many class testes as you want, maybe 10 maybe 20.

Ms Kwok Q:”Can the test be written on white board?”
“No la. The test must be more professional, cannot be write on white board.”

.............................. What is this again?

Don't take away my P2!

Today, Ho had a meeting with me, CC and HH in the staff lounge.
The reason being CC is under Part Time Work Scheme, we want to make sure where will her half load go to. During the contact time yesterday, HH seems unhappy that CC is giving away some job to her.

Conclusion
1. CC will come for 3.5days, Monday only from 400-630pm, taking only 2 P1s.
2. PLC, Action Research, Student ICE Festival, Staff ICE Festival will go to TY.
3. P2 outdoor lesson will go to HH.
4. There will be no more P1&P2 overall in-charge because Ho said the Title is "scary", HH will be the main contact person.

HH's face looked as black as ever.
Actually, I don't mind doing the job if you told me earlier.
Don't push everything to me, we can share it and help each other.
But some people just seems reluctant to take up responsibilities and tried to push it away.

Ho is suggesting to get a relief teacher to take up CC's P2. The problem is that the relief teacher cannot take only one class, so she is suggesting that I give one P2 to the relief teacher and I take over CC's admin duty and other admin thing. Admin duty? Oh... it means everything that others don't do I need to do.

Please keep admin duty away from me!! I don't want that shXt job!!
Please don't take away one of my p2s!!

Luckily that is only Ho's suggestion, subject to P's approval.

SQ Family Times

Too bad that I miss the good show during Upper Primary Contact Time today.

Lower Primary Contact Time was wasting our time...
At first.. Mrs Nair spoke bout the meet the parents session on this coming Saturday... Then Mrs Seah talked to us bout P1 camp (tentatively on 30/5, think I should apply my leave!), PLC.. bla bla bla.. till around 1230? then she left us with some time to discuss bout student ICE.

A lot of time... till I was chit-chating with Cikgu Lee... There was a friendly fire between NgHH and LeeCC, I do not wish to join them, so I did not listen and care bout it!
We cannot go, because the most important person is not here yet..
Then we wasted lots of time talking..
Then came Mrs K and Mr S, they seems to be waiting too, then around 1pm came Mr T with his backpack...

He went through all the SQ Family Times with us.. asking us questions... saying this is a dialogue session and we should tell him our concern... Who cares? He will only defend himself...

Then at one point.. he moved near us... asking what are the 3 strategic thrust? What is A... he came nearer.. suddenly, I heard "Mr Toh, what is A???"

Mr Toh:"To nurture a star in every sqnite?"

Oh no.. I am not your pupils le Mr T!!! Please don't treat us like your pupil...


When taking 187 back home.. I met Mdm Yeow... she was bla bla bla-ing bout school also...
At first, she kept saying she is very stress, very stress... then she said P seems to be in bad mood these few days...P always scold people... she didn't have time to mark books... her pupils did not finish IPW.. she has no time to prepare for lessons... think not many ppl will care bout the 5 peer observation since there will be 2 formal observation... said there was 4 confirmed HFMD cases and she needed to write reports to MOH and MOE everyday... and think many ppl will ask for transfer in August...

I tried to talk to her.. but seems like most of the time she is expressing her unhappiness...

Wow.. everyone is stress out!

Extended hours under heavy fire!!!!

today's meeting was a live firing exercise for all the upper p ts.

the target was a very clear one - extended hrs for p5/6

many upper p ts voiced out their 'concern'

however, at the end, all of us have a conclusion:

there is nothing we can do!

then how?

at around 130, the main target Mr Prk appeared.

upper p ts found their new target!!

too bad, i have to go for my lesson, otherwise i will be able to witness the 'good' show

while teaching, there came a announcement

'can all the upper p ts come to meeting room for a short debrief'

oops... i thought we shouldn't misuse the PA system?

again, i missed the 'good' show



after all these disasters, i doubt there is anything P can do to restore t's faith

Sports Day

Today is Sports Day.
AM teachers not around, many KPs also not around.
The school is very calm and peaceful.
Even the PM pupils are very well-behaved and quiet.

I am very happy!!

There is still no official e-mail.
The change in recess timing, we dunno.
Only informed that P5 lesson starts at 925am Wednesday when we ask Mdm Yeow!
If we don't ask ? How was I to know?
